Omega Barrier - Means End

Some feel that the flexibility

of the human mind

is irreconcilable with the notion

that it resides on rigid hardware.

Though, if our self-understanding can’t ever be truly complete then perhaps

it’s not so strange to feel that way.

What was once such a tangible feeling,

now is lost,

and seems to lead to a paradox.

«You can’t consistently assert this truth.»

Whether you assert it or deny it,

you would inevitably admit

that you are not able to assert

every single truth about yourself.

You’ve reached the ω barrier.

You can’t escape the system

because it’s built out of you.

We see complex emergent phenomena from deep within, bubble to the surface.

This fits well with the observation that we simply can’t force ourselves to

describe the neural or even symbolic functions from whence something like

ambition emerges from;

it’s just there.

We could very well just be machines underneath it all and never be the wiser.

Then so be it.

It wouldn’t change anything.

Nothing.

Not a goddamn thing.

Algunos sienten que la flexibilidad

de la mente humana

es irreconciliable con la idea

que reside en hardware rígido.

Sin embargo, si nuestra autocomprensión nunca puede ser realmente completa, entonces tal vez

no es tan extraño sentirse así.

Lo que una vez fue un sentimiento tan tangible,

ahora esta perdido,

y parece conducir a una paradoja.

«No puedes afirmar consistentemente esta verdad».

Ya sea que lo afirmes o lo niegues,

inevitablemente admitirías

que no eres capaz de afirmar

cada verdad sobre ti mismo.

Has alcanzado la barrera ω.

No puedes escapar del sistema.

porque está construido a partir de ti.

Vemos fenómenos emergentes complejos desde lo más profundo, burbujeando hacia la superficie.

Esto encaja bien con la observación de que simplemente no podemos obligarnos a nosotros mismos a

describir las funciones neuronales o incluso simbólicas de donde algo como

la ambición surge de;

solo está ahí.

Muy bien podríamos ser solo máquinas debajo de todo y nunca ser más sabios.

Entonces que así sea.

No cambiaría nada.

Ninguna cosa.

Ni una maldita cosa.
