On the night train to Monte-Carlo through the misty countryside

So smooth in my berth these Italian trains sure are a marvellous ride

Watching the little stone houses popping like a dream, in and out of the night

I was thinking if you could be here, we could talk till three or four

Get that feeling good together like so many times before

Well I missed you through November, but I’ll be seeing you soon

With the warning moon if the clouds don’t hide it

We’ll get some beer and talk about the girls we knew

If you’ve fed up with lonely stories about lost and wayward travelling bands

I’d be hard up to tell you of the glories though the road calls again

And again and it might just eventually win

En el tren nocturno a Montecarlo a través del campo brumoso

Pude ver la luna nueva saliendo y sabes que ella no rueda, se desliza

Tan suaves en mi litera que estos trenes italianos son un viaje maravilloso

Mirando las casitas de piedra explotando como un sueño, dentro y fuera de la noche

Estaba pensando que si pudieras estar aquí, podríamos hablar hasta las tres o las cuatro.

Haz que se sientan bien juntos como tantas veces antes

Bueno, te extrañé hasta noviembre, pero te veré pronto.

Con la luna de advertencia si las nubes no la ocultan

Tomaremos un poco de cerveza y hablaremos sobre las chicas que conocíamos

Si estás harto de historias solitarias sobre bandas itinerantes perdidas y descarriadas

Sería difícil hablarte de las glorias aunque el camino llame de nuevo

Y de nuevo, y eventualmente podría ganar
