Braddock Beach - Run, Forever

Well they tore down

another house

and It all looks different

out of my window

And the kids run

through the neighborhood

There’s a big game going on

out in the road

And the trucks stir

up the black earth

and it settles all around

The same way I do now

I always take the same way home

saw all they left were fences

where there was a hospital

and I know I’m ok

it’s just I barely come around

much these days

Like I’ve watched boats

leave the shore exposed

it takes time to settle down

Otra casa

y todo se ve diferente

fuera de mi ventana

y los niños corren

por el barrio

Hay un gran juego en marcha

en el camino

Y los camiones se agitan

arriba la tierra negra

y se asienta por todas partes

De la misma manera que lo hago ahora

siempre tomo el mismo camino a casa

vi que todo lo que quedaban eran vallas

donde habia un hospital

y se que estoy bien

es solo que apenas me doy cuenta

mucho estos dias

Como he visto barcos

dejar la orilla expuesta

se necesita tiempo para establecerse
