Could you recognize an honest case, now could you separate

So many lives that you have graced and whispered before

Hungry for connection, or was it just replacement

Falsifying flesh to fit a role that needs to play

Are you lying to reflections

Are the strangers that you find sleeping next to you just shadows of your own

self indulgent mind

And now you hear her footsteps falling just in time
