Shall we gather at the river, Where bright angel feet have trod?

With it’s crystal tide forever flowing by the throne of God.

On the borders of the river washing up it’s silver spray,

We will walk and worship ever, O the happy golden Day!

Ere we reach the shining river lay we every burden down,

Grace our spirits will deliver and provide a robe and crown.

At the smiling of the river mirrored on the Saviors face,

Saints whom death will never sever lift the songs of saving grace

On the bosom of the river where the Savior King we own.

We shall meet and sorrow never neath the glory of the throne.

Soon we’ll reach the shining river, soon our pilgrimage will cease,

Soon our happy hearts will quiver with the melody of peace

¿Nos reuniremos junto al río, donde han pisado brillantes pies de ángeles?

Con su marea de cristal fluyendo para siempre por el trono de Dios.

En las orillas del río lavando su rocío plateado,

¡Caminaremos y adoraremos siempre, oh, el feliz Día dorado!

Antes de llegar al río resplandeciente, echamos todas nuestras cargas,

Gracia nuestros espíritus entregarán y proveerán túnica y corona.

Ante la sonrisa del río reflejada en el rostro del Salvador,

Santos a quienes la muerte nunca cortará las canciones de la gracia salvadora

En el seno del río donde el Salvador Rey nos posee.

Nos encontraremos y nunca nos afligiremos debajo de la gloria del trono.

Pronto llegaremos al río brillante, pronto cesará nuestra peregrinación,

Pronto nuestros corazones felices se estremecerán con la melodía de la paz
