Gerry Rafferty
Gerry Rafferty fue un cantautor británico de ascendencia irlandesa-escocesa, nacido en Escocia en 1947. Conocido por su trabajo en los géneros pop y rock, cofundó la banda Stealers Wheel , que alcanzó reconocimiento internacional con el exitoso sencillo "Stuck in the Middle With You" . Como solista, Rafferty alcanzó gran reconocimiento con su álbum de 1978 "City to City" , que incluía el icónico tema "Baker Street" . Su música, caracterizada por la sofisticación melódica y las letras introspectivas, dejó una huella imborrable en las escenas del rock y el pop. Rafferty falleció en 2011, pero sus contribuciones a la música siguen siendo influyentes.
