The Struggle - Zach Williams

He woke up this morning to an angel in his bed

There was a devil in the bottle he was holding in his hand

With head still full of whiskey and his eyes now full of tears

He dusted off a bible that he hadn’t read in years

And he said

I am tired, I am torn and I can’t take it any more

You see this bottle has been my only friend But here I my heart to you I give

Oh Father can you take away these tears

She struggles with addiction

She struggles to fit in

She takes too much medication to cover up her tears

One pill to make her happy Too many make her sad

Then she notices the bible

In the hotel by her bed She says, «I am weary I am worn» and I can’t take it

any more

You see this bottle has been my only friend

Here I am my heart to you I give

Father can you wash away these sins

Then the sun came out and the skies turned blue and the pain they knew was gone

And as the old life died a new life it was born

It was a life they never knew

Until they followed you

Había un demonio en la botella que sostenía en la mano

Con la cabeza todavía llena de whisky y los ojos ahora llenos de lágrimas

Desempolvó una biblia que no había leído en años

Y él dijo

Estoy cansado, estoy desgarrado y no puedo soportarlo más

Oh padre, ¿puedes quitar estas lágrimas?

Ella lucha con la adicción.

Ella lucha por encajar

Toma demasiados medicamentos para tapar sus lágrimas.

Una pastilla para hacerla feliz Demasiadas la ponen triste

Entonces se da cuenta de la biblia

En el hotel junto a su cama Ella dice: «Estoy cansada, estoy desgastada» y no puedo soportarlo

ya no

Ves que esta botella ha sido mi único amigo

Aquí estoy mi corazón a ti te doy

Padre, ¿puedes lavar estos pecados?

Entonces salió el sol y los cielos se volvieron azules y el dolor que conocían se había ido

Y como la vieja vida murió, una nueva vida nació

Era una vida que nunca conocieron
