Mulberry - Yoko Ono

During the war I was evacuated to the country and I used to go and get

Mulberries from the Mulberry bush so that I could feed my younger brother and

sister and myself.

And I just remember that feeling of reaching the sky and the fields and the

bush, the Mulberry bush.

I was alone and just picking.

It is getting a bit cold, though the sky is still blue because the sun is going

down behind the mountains.

And I was feeling a bit frightened because they said there were many ghosts in

the field and I was a little girl and had to go back home all by myself.

It’s getting dark…

So this is how I did the Mulberry song…

Durante la guerra fui evacuado al campo y solía ir a buscar

Moras del arbusto de moras para poder alimentar a mi hermano menor y

hermana y yo.

Y solo recuerdo esa sensacion de alcanzar el cielo y los campos y la

arbusto, el arbusto de morera.

Estaba solo y solo recogiendo.

Hace un poco de frío, aunque el cielo todavía está azul porque el sol se está poniendo

abajo detrás de las montañas.

Y yo me sentía un poco asustada porque decían que había muchos fantasmas en

el campo y yo era una niña pequeña y tuve que volver a casa sola.

Se está haciendo de noche…

Así es como hice la canción de Mulberry...
