I think of art in weird terms

I really believe that art and expression should be limitless

And you should be able to explore themes that are grotesque or dark

And engage with those thoughts and just put them down and look at them like

they are

'Cause at the day of the day you aren’t your thoughts or your feelings

Your actions are the most important things about you

And I think CANADA for me was a good sign of that

That song came out of a dark place and I put it out into the world and I love it

But at the same time that’s not me, I think through that I figured out a lot

about my art

And a lot about these fucked up thoughts that I can have and that we all have

I think it’s important to engage with those and at least try and sort 'em out,

try and do something better

I think on a song like TTYL that’s me at my rawest

I wrote that song shortly after my ex got engaged and it finally felt

It finally felt like I was able to let go of a situation that was super dark

and cloudy and fucked up

In a very beautiful way

And that’s what this project’s about, it’s like

Although you have these dark thoughts or feelings or bad days

As long as you don’t encompass that in your being, that’s not you

This is MISOGYNY

Pienso en el arte en términos extraños

Realmente creo que el arte y la expresión deben ser ilimitados.

Y debería poder explorar temas que son grotescos u oscuros

E interactúe con esos pensamientos y simplemente bájelos y mírelos como

ellos son

Porque en el día del día no eres tus pensamientos o tus sentimientos

Tus acciones son lo más importante de ti

Y creo que CANADÁ para mí fue una buena señal de eso

Esa canción salió de un lugar oscuro y la puse en el mundo y me encanta

Pero al mismo tiempo, ese no soy yo, creo que descubrí muchas cosas.

Y mucho sobre estos pensamientos jodidos que puedo tener y que todos tenemos

Creo que es importante comprometerse con ellos y al menos tratar de resolverlos,

tratar de hacer algo mejor

Creo que en una canción como TTYL soy yo en mi forma más cruda

Escribí esa canción poco después de que mi ex se comprometiera y finalmente se sintió

Finalmente sentí que podía dejar ir una situación que era súper oscura.

Mientras no abarques eso en tu ser, ese no eres tú
