Many human beings I meet in the city

Seem so busy and self-absorbed

They look down on the street, their faces do not tell me

What they think or even what they feel

I walk through the streets and wonder why they seem

So distant and all alone

Is it easier that way and can they handle their day

Without sharing what’s going on

They walk and talk and they eat their meals

As fast as they can cause work is waiting again

They hurry and worry all day long

Until they finally go to sleep

I sit down on a bench, observe the passing people

How they move, how they act all weird

They can’t let loose, need to know all the news

Are addicted to all sorts of things

They care about their jobs and play perfect roles

Never admit to feel weak or low

How long can this go on?

They are fighting on their own

Losing hopes and dreams for good

This world is such a crazy place

It’s all about the come and go

People, where the hell are we heading to?

They walk and talk and they eat their meals

As fast as they can cause work is waiting again

They hurry and worry all day long

Until they finally go to sleep

Muchos seres humanos me encuentro en la ciudad

Parece tan ocupado y ensimismado

Miran hacia abajo en la calle, sus caras no me dicen

Lo que piensan o incluso lo que sienten

Camino por las calles y me pregunto por qué parecen

Tan distante y solo

¿Es más fácil de esa manera? ¿Pueden manejar su día?

Sin compartir lo que está pasando

Caminan y hablan y comen sus comidas

Tan rápido como puedan hacer que el trabajo esté esperando de nuevo

Se apresuran y se preocupan todo el día.

Hasta que por fin se van a dormir

Me siento en un banco, observo a la gente que pasa

Cómo se mueven, cómo actúan todo raro

No pueden soltarse, necesitan saber todas las noticias.

Son adictos a todo tipo de cosas

Se preocupan por sus trabajos y desempeñan papeles perfectos.

Nunca admita sentirse débil o bajo

¿Cuánto tiempo puede durar esto?

Están peleando solos

Perder esperanzas y sueños para siempre

Este mundo es un lugar tan loco

Se trata de ir y venir

Gente, ¿hacia dónde diablos nos dirigimos?

Caminan y hablan y comen sus comidas
