I Wonder - Urban Species

Sometimes I wonder what I want out of life

Do I wanna settle down have myself some kids and a wife

I take the dog on walks and have a house with a drive

Then I wonder to myself can I handle that vibe

And then sometimes I wonder if we’ll ever be free

Then I wonder if we are but maybe we can’t see

I wonder about the youth that’s running round with no

Direction

And I wonder how to channel making use of that aggression

Yes I wonder what the worlds coming to

And I wonder what it’s like ta have no home to go to

You got no roof over your head maybe a park bench as ya bed

And if I wasn’t rappin’then I wonder what I’d do instead

Ya see I could be alone or in a crowded place

I get all introspective my mind starts to race

From one place to another strung together like beads

But no you can’t stop the process once you’ve planted those

Wondering and I’m pondering and I’m thinking

Got me tripping out of my mind

And sometimes I wonder who I am and where I’m going

Is there anything to know if so am I worthy of knowing

I might wonder how and when my life is gonna end

Then I wonder to if I’m gonna come back again

And if I do would I have learnt from the mistakes I’ve made

Or will I have to carry on till all my debts have been paid

I wonder if there’s really such a thing as UFOs

And if they exist I wonder if they’re friends or foes

And if they’re foes I wonder if they’ll ever invade

Can they do a better job than the mess we’ve made

Like most of us I wonder what’s the reason that I’m here

Are dreams a recollection of a whole different sphere

Now I could be alone or in a crowded place place

But those anxieties are gone when I hear the competition

Those kids and saying nothing that make me wanna listen

I wonder was it in vain our leaders died

I wonder why some people ain’t never satisfied

'Cos no matter what youi got is like you always want more

I wonder, I wonder what’s behind the green door

I wonder who shot J.F.K., I wonder what if my mum’s OK

You know what I think I’ll call her today

I wonder 'bout problems of the world at large

I wonder if peace is just a big mirage

You think it’s there but it’s gone when you try to touch

A veces me pregunto qué quiero de la vida

¿Quiero establecerme, tener hijos y una esposa?

Saco a pasear al perro y tengo casa con drive

Entonces me pregunto si puedo manejar esa vibra

Y luego a veces me pregunto si alguna vez seremos libres

Entonces me pregunto si lo somos, pero tal vez no podamos ver

Me pregunto sobre la juventud que está corriendo sin

Y me pregunto cómo canalizar haciendo uso de esa agresión

Sí, me pregunto a qué vienen los mundos

Y me pregunto cómo es no tener un hogar al que ir

No tienes techo sobre tu cabeza tal vez un banco del parque como tu cama

Y si no estuviera rapeando, entonces me pregunto qué haría en su lugar

Ya ves, podría estar solo o en un lugar lleno de gente

Me vuelvo introspectivo, mi mente comienza a correr

De un lugar a otro ensartados como cuentas

Pero no, no puedes detener el proceso una vez que hayas plantado esos

Ahora soy…

Preguntándome y estoy reflexionando y estoy pensando

Me hizo tropezar fuera de mi mente

Y a veces me pregunto quién soy y adónde voy

¿Hay algo que saber si así soy digno de saber?

Podría preguntarme cómo y cuándo terminará mi vida

Entonces me pregunto si voy a volver otra vez

Y si lo hiciera, ¿habría aprendido de los errores que he cometido?

¿O tendré que continuar hasta que todas mis deudas hayan sido pagadas?

Me pregunto si realmente existen los ovnis

Y si existen me pregunto si son amigos o enemigos

Y si son enemigos, me pregunto si alguna vez invadirán

¿Pueden hacer un mejor trabajo que el desastre que hemos hecho?

Como la mayoría de nosotros, me pregunto cuál es la razón por la que estoy aquí.

¿Son los sueños un recuerdo de una esfera completamente diferente?

Ahora podría estar solo o en un lugar lleno de gente

Me vuelvo introspectivo y mi mente comienza a correr

No puedes detener el proceso una vez que hayas plantado esas semillas

Preguntándome y reflexionando y estoy pensando

Me hizo tropezar fuera de mi mente

Ahora a veces me pregunto si la radio tocará esto

Si lo hacen, ¿estará en la lista de reproducción A o B?

Me pregunto si tengo lo que se necesita

Para mí, toca el micrófono con ritmos y pausas

Pero esas ansiedades desaparecen cuando escucho la competencia.

Esos niños y no decir nada que me haga querer escuchar

Me pregunto si fue en vano que nuestros líderes murieron

Me pregunto por qué algunas personas nunca están satisfechas

Porque no importa lo que tengas es como si siempre quisieras más

Me pregunto, me pregunto qué hay detrás de la puerta verde

Me pregunto quién le disparó a J.F.K., me pregunto qué pasa si mi madre está bien

Sabes lo que creo que la llamaré hoy

Me pregunto sobre los problemas del mundo en general

Me pregunto si la paz es solo un gran espejismo
