New Friend - The Steal

You make trouble for yourself,

And then you turn to the cause.

I’m sick of forgiving these actions,

So just put your life on pause.

Then you try and justify,

Your reasoning behind,

You say It’s your job,

You work too much,

You need to unwind

I say you could have always come to me,

But instead you chose the drink,

To blur your unhappiness away.

So now you’ve got a new friend,

And it sure as hell ain’t me,

You feel more at ease when blinded,

Than dealing with what you know you see.

Time is called, it’s time to leave

But you need to party.

So you pick a guy and go to his,

You wont be happy in the morning.

You wake up with your head in hands,

Saying you’ll never drink again,

But you’ll be out in 12 hours time,

Doing the same thing.

I say you could have always come to me,
