The Place I Love - The Jam

The place I love is a million miles away,

it’s too far for the eye to see

Still it’s me at least, and you can’t come there

No one is allowed at all

Only animals that love, will always, only, ever could be And it’s always at the back of my mind.

The place I love is overgrown now

With beautiful moss and colourful flowers

And goldfish that swim in a pool, there’s a small brick wall

With neon lighting controlled by lightning

I’m making a stand against the world

There’s those who would hurt us if they heard.

And its always in the back of my mind

The place I love is no where near here,

Not within a mile of those trendy do’s,

Where dogsbodies pick you up, and graciously give you a lift,

With cherished thoughts and bitterness.

El lugar que amo está a un millón de millas de distancia,

está demasiado lejos para que el ojo lo vea

Todavía soy yo al menos, y no puedes venir allí

No se permite a nadie en absoluto

Solo los animales que aman, siempre, solo, alguna vez podrían ser Y siempre está en el fondo de mi mente.

El lugar que amo está cubierto de maleza ahora

Con hermoso musgo y flores de colores.

Y peces dorados que nadan en una piscina, hay una pequeña pared de ladrillos

Con luces de neón controladas por un rayo

Estoy haciendo una posición contra el mundo

Hay quienes nos harían daño si se enteraran.

Y siempre está en el fondo de mi mente

El lugar que amo no está cerca de aquí,

No dentro de una milla de esas modas,

Donde los cuerpos de los perros te recogen y gentilmente te llevan,

Con pensamientos preciados y amargura.

Me estoy oponiendo al mundo,

Hay quienes nos harían daño si escucharan

Y eso siempre está en el fondo de mi mente
