would it really be so bad

sitting here all afternoon

aeroplanes fly by

every three minutes or so

birds land on the water

it’s already time to go

why’s it always time to go?

I know it should feel wrong

but it seems right to me

we’ll swim out to the island

a silver comet in the sky

they’ll come and try to find us

still that’s where we’re going to hide

the boats are banging in the dock

but until that day
