Mental genocide

I’ve been reaching out

But the shadows drag me down

Like a shroud, they suffocate all in relentless doubt

We all have a cross to bear

But the weight of this burden is far too much to compare

Close my eyes and begin to drift away

Far away from aversion that had led me astray

I watch from the other side of the glass

Where I stare and waste away in time that has passed

All thoughts wre unsupported

Dreams rduced to smoke

A life deemed unimportant

So turn away and go as I choke

Realize this could end in a moment

But I have been void of choice

There’s no life in this prison

But to succumb to these walls
