Starless -

Torn from sleep I awoke into a moonless night, gently shaking with every breath

I took inside my lungs I lay there for what felt like eternity.

I swear there’s

something watching me…

The stillness shattered, can this horror taste my fear my body taken and

scraped over a broken mirror, dragged away from the warmth and comfort of the

light, into a darkness cold as ice…

I’ve prayed for forgiveness on my knees, with God as my witness I’ve deceived

these ghosts with a promise that I’ll never keep it’s just so damn tempting but

I’m overwhelmed by the pain and the fear, just a taste of what lies on the

other side of the mirror where the haunting whispers are drawing me nearer to

an infinite spiraling infernal vortex

A dying sun, a black inferno.

Radiant night, starless;

eternal

And so they carried me on shredded hopeless wings, ever marching toward the

deep «God, have mercy!»

He turned his head and looked away.

«Don't let them

take me!»

Behind his mask I see a grin.

«I don’t deserve this!»

I lived my life

without a sin yet here I lie amongst the damned.

Pitching me down under the ice

and blood, a broken angel screams «Here is your God!»

I am greeted at last by a glimpse of his agony, through the spacial distortion.

Contorted with rage, twisted with pain and unending misery, frozen in time,

ne’er dead nor alive, trapped inside this starless, eternal void

A ray of light finally crossed my eyes and I crawled toward it sobbing,

hoping it would save my life.

As we met I looked around me and the hellish

sight was gone, a familiar warmth around me as I gazed out at the dawn,

but I can’t forget, their faces haunt me, every time I close my eyes I’ve

joined them in that hell but I’ve walked in His shoes and I’ve prayed in His

church and I’ve carried His cross and I’ve spoken His verse, but I’m damned

'cause the devil got to me first, God, why is this happening to me…

Arrancado del sueño me desperté en una noche sin luna, temblando suavemente con cada respiración

Tomé dentro de mis pulmones. Me quedé allí por lo que pareció una eternidad.

La quietud rota, ¿puede este horror saborear mi miedo, mi cuerpo tomado y

raspado sobre un espejo roto, arrastrado lejos del calor y la comodidad del

luz, en una oscuridad fría como el hielo...

Estoy abrumado por el dolor y el miedo, solo una muestra de lo que hay en el

otro lado del espejo donde los inquietantes susurros me acercan más a

un infinito vórtice infernal en espiral

Un sol agonizante, un infierno negro.

noche radiante, sin estrellas;

eterno

Y así me llevaron sobre alas destrozadas y desesperanzadas, siempre marchando hacia el

profundo «¡Dios, ten piedad!»

Volvió la cabeza y miró hacia otro lado.

«No dejes que

¡Tómame!"

Detrás de su máscara veo una sonrisa.

«¡No me merezco esto!»

viví mi vida

sin un pecado aún aquí yazgo entre los condenados.

Lanzándome bajo el hielo

y sangre, un ángel roto grita «¡Aquí está tu Dios!»

Soy recibido por fin por un atisbo de su agonía, a través de la distorsión espacial.

Contorsionada por la rabia, retorcida por el dolor y la miseria sin fin, congelada en el tiempo,

nunca muerto ni vivo, atrapado dentro de este vacío eterno y sin estrellas

Un rayo de luz finalmente cruzó mis ojos y me arrastré hacia él sollozando,

esperando que me salvara la vida.

Cuando nos conocimos, miré a mi alrededor y el infernal

La vista se había ido, un calor familiar me rodeaba mientras miraba el amanecer,

pero no puedo olvidar, sus rostros me persiguen, cada vez que cierro los ojos he

me uní a ellos en ese infierno, pero he caminado en Sus zapatos y he orado en Su

iglesia y he cargado Su cruz y he dicho Su verso, pero estoy condenado

porque el diablo me agarró primero, Dios, por qué me está pasando esto…
