Transmigration - Pellek

Filled my wicker basket to the brim with salt-spicy foods -I feel like a king

Because now, in a few thousand miles

I’ve seen and done it all!

All thanks to my daughter who understood that treatment would do me no good

Now in less than a year I’ve been everywhere

Mostly at sea and some in the air flying high!

From my cold Norway along the coast

Through Russian waters in my old boat

And we challenged the Sea of Okhotsk

Volcanoes and Japanese docks

Temples and a kind monk who shared his tea

With a freezing Norwegian from the sea

We crossed the Pacific in a brigantine

Heard the island tern’s soft scream

The lighthouse at God’s Pocket, sea stars and seals —

Orca whales in the gleam

Shining down through junipers and silver firs

I pulled our provisions right out of the earth

Through a modernized, scary dark place

I ran and I ran through fire and flames

And I rebuilt a worn out balloon

Sailed in the air with the sun and the moon

Now I’m flying away, up, up and away

Llené mi canasta de mimbre hasta el borde con alimentos salados y picantes - Me siento como un rey

Porque ahora, en unos pocos miles de millas

¡Lo he visto y lo he hecho todo!

Todo gracias a mi hija que entendió que el tratamiento no me haría ningún bien

Ahora en menos de un año he estado en todas partes

¡Principalmente en el mar y algunos en el aire volando alto!

De mi fría Noruega a lo largo de la costa

Por aguas rusas en mi viejo barco

Y desafiamos al Mar de Ojotsk

Volcanes y muelles japoneses

Templos y un amable monje que compartió su té

Con un helado noruego del mar

Cruzamos el Pacífico en un bergantín

Escuché el suave grito del charrán isleño

El faro en God's Pocket, estrellas de mar y focas:

Ballenas orcas en el resplandor

Brillando a través de enebros y abetos plateados

Saqué nuestras provisiones directamente de la tierra

A través de un lugar oscuro modernizado y aterrador

Corrí y corrí a través del fuego y las llamas

Y reconstruí un globo desgastado

Navegué en el aire con el sol y la luna

Ahora estoy volando lejos, arriba, arriba y lejos

Cruzamos el Pacífico en un bergantín
