She’s lying on the bathroom floor asking herself what’s life for

and someday I pray that she feels alright

and he’s lying on his bedroom floor writing songs singing metaphors

like tonite might be their last nite

sometimes a walk becomes a trip and a trip becomes a fall

addicted to it all drugs and alcohol

she’s all tweaked out but no one notices at all

she tries to reach out but he doesn’t hear her call

cuz no one see her trouble cuz she doesn’t show the struggle

she locks herself up as her tears turn to puddles

of lies and regrets of nights she forgets

like where she is and if she’ll ever make it back to him

and if she had a dollar for every time he called her

she’d be sitting pretty on a mountain made of pennies

and if he had a dime for every line she was snorting

I’d bet he have a ride that he never could afford

and he’s sick of the drama tired of holding on to the hope that she’s the one so he puts it in a poem

she calls he calls back he yells who’s that

the phone falls dropped call and in the hall a gun goes (bang!)

Está tumbada en el suelo del baño preguntándose para qué sirve la vida.

y algún día rezo para que se sienta bien

y está tirado en el suelo de su dormitorio escribiendo canciones cantando metáforas

como esta noche podría ser su última noche

a veces un paseo se convierte en un tropiezo y un tropiezo se convierte en una caída

adicto a todas las drogas y el alcohol

ella está toda arreglada pero nadie se da cuenta en absoluto

ella trata de acercarse pero él no escucha su llamada

porque nadie ve su problema porque ella no muestra la lucha

ella se encierra mientras sus lágrimas se convierten en charcos

de mentiras y lamentos de noches que olvida

como dónde está y si alguna vez volverá con él

y si tuviera un dolar por cada vez que la llama

ella estaría sentada bonita en una montaña hecha de centavos

y si él tuviera un centavo por cada línea que ella estaba esnifando

Apuesto a que tiene un viaje que nunca podría permitirse

y él está harto del drama cansado de aferrarse a la esperanza de que ella sea la indicada, así que lo pone en un poema

ella llama él vuelve a llamar él grita quién es

el teléfono cae, se cae la llamada y en el pasillo suena un arma (¡bang!)
