Distant voices begin to sing

«Now the fire’s burning, let the fire spread

So those who think they live will realise that they are dead

Over eons, over centuries

It has taken many names for the Spirit of the Ancient is the fire within the

flames

Let mankind burn with the fire of the Spirit.»

Following the golden path towards the burning tree

I pause before I enter within the castle walls

As darkness dies the light of truth is revealed

I genuflect to worship at the throne of life

«I have followed your quest with great interest»

Said the King as I raise my eyes to meet his

«Many have stood where you stand and many will stand there in latter days.»

The Firetree, the tree that burns whilst it is never consumed

The Firetree on which a man died to bring life to mankind

Who was he, that man that died?

Who was he?

«That man was God.»

I came before the throne seeking truth and life but

As everything in my life begins to fall into place

I learn from the King that in death there is life

To die to one’s self is the truth of salvation and eternal life

The King addressed me once more saying

«Once you were yours but now you are mine

You have my permission to die

Go now and die to yourself.»

And with that, in obedience to the King, I stepped into the pool of water

Shedding my old garments

And moving further into the depths as the water engulfed me

That day, I entered into a new life and

In the presence of the almighty King, was born again

Voces distantes comienzan a cantar

«Ahora el fuego está ardiendo, deja que el fuego se propague

Así los que creen que viven se darán cuenta de que están muertos

Durante eones, durante siglos

Ha tomado muchos nombres porque el Espíritu de los Antiguos es el fuego dentro del

llamas

Que la humanidad arda con el fuego del Espíritu.»

Siguiendo el camino dorado hacia el árbol en llamas

Hago una pausa antes de entrar dentro de los muros del castillo

A medida que muere la oscuridad, se revela la luz de la verdad

Hago una genuflexión para adorar ante el trono de la vida

«He seguido tu búsqueda con gran interés»

Dijo el Rey mientras levanto mis ojos para encontrarme con su

«Muchos han estado donde tú estás y muchos estarán allí en los últimos días».

El Firetree, el árbol que arde mientras nunca se consume

El árbol de fuego en el que murió un hombre para dar vida a la humanidad

¿Quién era él, ese hombre que murió?

¿Quien era él?

«Ese hombre era Dios».

Vine ante el trono buscando la verdad y la vida, pero

A medida que todo en mi vida comienza a encajar

Aprendo del Rey que en la muerte hay vida

Morir a sí mismo es la verdad de la salvación y de la vida eterna

El Rey se dirigió a mí una vez más diciendo

«Una vez fuiste tuyo pero ahora eres mío

Tienes mi permiso para morir

Ve ahora y muere a ti mismo.»

Y con eso, en obediencia al Rey, me metí en el estanque de agua

Despojarme de mis ropas viejas

Y adentrándome más en las profundidades mientras el agua me envolvía

Ese día, entré en una nueva vida y

En presencia del Rey todopoderoso, nació de nuevo
