Cries the great sea

And drags her below by her feet

And swallows her whole

¿La ves caminando?

¿El farol para un alto?

ella no sabrá

Cuándo dejar de caminar, o por qué

Un gran mar debajo de ella

Forbodes «morirás»

Ella se ríe al pensar

Porque hasta ahora se ha mantenido muy seca

Ella llora y se agita

Que sus costados se rompan

Oh, el lapeado que mora

Su mejilla roja irregular

«Sé mimado y engreído

Te tendré para comer»

llora el gran mar

Y la arrastra abajo por sus pies

Y se la traga entera
