The Old Rover - Mithotyn

I’m an old rover tired of this world

Let me follow the whirlpool of life

Into the world of happiness

That lies on the other side of death.

Grant me my deepest wish

That I patiently yearn for.

To wander the vales of solitude

And to ride the sky on invisible wings.

I will keep the spying hawk company

And bleed with the dove in it’s claws.

I will hunt with the wolfpack

And share pain with the deer in their jaws.

A tired and travelled old man I am,

My mind is rich but my health is poor.

Let me begin my final trip,

My soul will fly free forever more.

For many decades I’ve walked this world

Now it’s time to pass it on To the younger generations,

As I leave with great expectations.

Soy un viejo rover cansado de este mundo

Déjame seguir el torbellino de la vida

En el mundo de la felicidad

Que yace al otro lado de la muerte.

Concédeme mi más profundo deseo

que pacientemente anhelo.

Vagar por los valles de la soledad

Y cabalgar el cielo con alas invisibles.

Haré compañía al halcón espía

Y sangrar con la paloma en sus garras.

Voy a cazar con la manada de lobos

Y comparte el dolor con el venado en sus fauces.

Un viejo cansado y viajero soy,

Mi mente es rica pero mi salud es pobre.

Déjame comenzar mi viaje final,

Mi alma volará libre por siempre jamás.

Durante muchas décadas he caminado por este mundo

Ahora es el momento de transmitirlo a las generaciones más jóvenes,

Pues me voy con grandes expectativas.
