One thing I ask of the Lord

This is what I seek

That I may dwell in the house of the Lord

All the days of my life

To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord

And to seek Him in His temple

For this reason I kneel before the Father

From whom every family in heaven

And on earth derives its name

I pray that out of his glorious riches

He may strengthen you with power

Through his Spirit in your inner being

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love

May have power, together with all God’s people

To grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ

And to know this love that surpasses knowledge

That you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God

Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling

And to present you before his glorious presence

Without fault and with great joy

To the only God our Saviour

Be glory and majesty and power and authority

Through Jesus Christ our Lord

Before all ages, now and forevermore!

Una cosa le pido al Señor

Esto es lo que busco

Para que yo habite en la casa del Señor

Todos los días de mi vida

Para contemplar la belleza del Señor

Y a buscarlo en su templo

Por eso me arrodillo ante el Padre

de quien toda familia en el cielo

Y de la tierra deriva su nombre

ruego que de sus gloriosas riquezas

Él puede fortalecerte con poder

A través de su Espíritu en tu interior

Para que Cristo habite en vuestros corazones por la fe

Y ruego que vosotros, arraigados y afirmados en el amor

Que tenga poder, junto con todo el pueblo de Dios

Para comprender cuán ancho, largo, alto y profundo es el amor de Cristo

Y conocer este amor que sobrepasa el conocimiento

Para que seáis llenos a la medida de toda la plenitud de Dios

Ahora a Aquel que es poderoso para guardarte de caer

Y para presentaros ante su gloriosa presencia

Sin culpa y con mucha alegría

Al único Dios nuestro Salvador

Sea gloria y majestad y poder y autoridad

Través de Jesucristo nuestro Señor

¡Antes de todas las edades, ahora y siempre!
