let earth receive her King!

the Saviour reigns:

let men their songs employ,

while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains

repeat the sounding joy.

nor thorns infest the ground:

he comes to make his blessings flow

far as the curse is found.

He rules the earth with truth and grace,

and makes the nations prove

the glories of his righteousnes

and wonders of his love.

el Salvador reina:

que los hombres empleen sus canciones,

mientras los campos y las inundaciones, las rocas, las colinas y las llanuras

repite la alegría sonora.

No dejes que crezcan más los pecados y las penas,

ni las espinas infectan la tierra:

viene a hacer fluir sus bendiciones

hasta donde se encuentra la maldición.

Él gobierna la tierra con verdad y gracia,

y hace probar a las naciones

las glorias de su justicia

y prodigios de su amor.
