Rose had a house in a dream

where she used to seat and have tea.

Now, it’s not there anymore.

She baked little moons with her mother

and learnt how to fish with her father

but now they’re not there anymore.

And she says «why did the sea take them from me?»

«Was he angry I didn’t learn how to swim?»

so she cries, hoping that the tears in her eyes

will take her to see them once more.

She hears people say that it’s over

that the waves have all gone to sleep

and they won’t come around anymore.

Rose tenía una casa en un sueño

donde solía sentarse y tomar el té.

Ahora, ya no está.

Horneaba lunitas con su madre

y aprendió a pescar con su padre

pero ahora ya no están.

Y ella dice «¿por qué me los quitó el mar?»

«¿Estaba enojado porque no aprendí a nadar?»

entonces ella llora, esperando que las lágrimas en sus ojos

la llevará a verlos una vez más.

Ella escucha a la gente decir que se acabó

que las olas se han ido todas a dormir

y ya no volverán.
