Yeah get ready, enter my mind

Yesterday morning I stood in the mirror, gazing into my own eyes

Knowing the life that I was living wasn’t the one that I visualized

Half woke and half unconscious, I replayed my life over

Saw the image of a man with a mask standing over my shoulder

First I thought that I was hallucinating, I must be still sleep

Dreaming deep, I paid it no mind until I heard him speak

And the words he spoke were deadly, no love in them were meant

Said he was watching me and I would see him everywhere that I went

I got scared and broke the mirror, ran out feeling a buzz

Determined not to quit but once I looked up there he was

I was hoping I could take the mask up off his face and see

I had two questions, who is this man?

And why is he chasing me?

I jumped in the ride and burnt off, doing my best to run

Passed at least 11 bus-stops and he was standing at every one

Saw him in my rear-view mirror, thought my sanity’s tryna pimp me

'Cause there wasn’t no cars behind me and my backseat was empty

I looked at the clock and I noticed, it’s 2:23pm

But I’m paranoid 'cause nobody was outside but me and him

I couldn’t shake, escape or evade him no matter what corners I was cutting

Had a full tank of gas, but the car shut down all of a sudden

I bailed out and started running, I’m in my hood and I know it well

But the street signs had changed up, they had words on them like 'Hell'

And had words on them like 'murder', 'damnation' and 'lies' instead

And whatever street that I ran down, I went through what it said

I was in pain so I broke down, it all ended at last

The torture felt like 20 hours but only 5 minutes had passed

Why was I going through this suffering?

What was this man scheming?

Before he took me I woke up screaming and realized that I was dreaming

I was glad that it was over, so I stood up to my feet

Walked outside to get some fresh air and absorb some of the heat

I kind of laughed about the whole thing once the drama was complete

I almost passed out when I looked up and seen him standing across the street

I took off was running full speed, as fast as I could go

But no matter how fast I ran, he was right behind my walking slow

With the same mask on from the dream with specks of blood on it

Tired of running for my life, he’d have to take mine if he want it

So I stop to turn and face him, no words were left to say

But once he saw my fear was gone, he took off running the other way

I was confused while I was chasing him, it wasn’t what it seems

How can I fight something that hides in mirror reflections and in dreams?

Nevertheless, I got to take the chance and hope that I can stretch him

At that moment he stopped running as if he wanted me to catch him

All the psychological anguish that I went through was defined

I grabbed his head, snatched his mask off and the face in it was mine

I almost went blind, but it all came together step by step

I was being chased by my own sin, running from the dark side of myself

As I choked him in a tight grasp, I began to understand

Right then and there the man in the mask just disappeared inside my hand

It was all a sign for me to change and see the world clearer

I closed my eyes and when I opened 'em I was back in front of the mirror

But even though the man was gone, I still can’t say that it’s the end

'Cause I know that if I slip up, I’ll see that mask again

Ayer por la mañana me paré en el espejo, mirándome a los ojos

Sabiendo que la vida que estaba viviendo no era la que visualizaba

Medio despierto y medio inconsciente, volví a reproducir mi vida

Vi la imagen de un hombre con una máscara de pie sobre mi hombro

Primero pensé que estaba alucinando, debo estar todavía durmiendo.

Soñando profundamente, no le presté atención hasta que lo escuché hablar

Y las palabras que pronunció fueron mortales, no significaba amor en ellas.

Dijo que me estaba mirando y que lo vería en todas partes a las que fuera.

Me asusté y rompí el espejo, salí corriendo sintiendo un zumbido

Decidido a no renunciar, pero una vez que miré hacia arriba, allí estaba.

Esperaba poder quitarle la máscara de la cara y ver

Tenía dos preguntas, ¿quién es este hombre?

¿Y por qué me persigue?

Salté en el paseo y me quemé, haciendo mi mejor esfuerzo para correr

Pasó al menos 11 paradas de autobús y estuvo parado en cada una

Lo vi en mi espejo retrovisor, pensé que mi cordura estaba tratando de chulo

Porque no había autos detrás de mí y mi asiento trasero estaba vacío

Miré el reloj y noté que eran las 2:23 p. m.

Pero estoy paranoico porque nadie estaba afuera excepto él y yo

No podía sacudirlo, escapar o evadirlo sin importar las esquinas que estaba cortando.

Tenía el tanque lleno de gasolina, pero el automóvil se apagó de repente

Me rescaté y comencé a correr, estoy en mi barrio y lo sé bien

Pero los letreros de las calles habían cambiado, tenían palabras como 'Infierno'

Y tenían palabras en ellos como 'asesinato', 'condenación' y 'mentiras' en su lugar

Y cualquiera que sea la calle por la que corrí, pasé por lo que decía

Tenía dolor, así que me derrumbé, todo terminó al fin

La tortura se sintió como 20 horas pero solo habían pasado 5 minutos.

¿Por qué estaba pasando por este sufrimiento?

¿Qué tramaba este hombre?

Antes de que me llevara, me desperté gritando y me di cuenta de que estaba soñando.

Me alegré de que todo hubiera terminado, así que me puse de pie

Salió a tomar aire fresco y absorber parte del calor.

Me reí de todo el asunto una vez que el drama estuvo completo.

Casi me desmayo cuando miré hacia arriba y lo vi parado al otro lado de la calle.

Despegué corriendo a toda velocidad, tan rápido como pude

Pero no importa lo rápido que corrí, él estaba justo detrás de mi caminar lento

Con la misma máscara del sueño con manchas de sangre

Cansado de correr por mi vida, tendría que tomar la mía si la quiere.

Así que me detengo para girarme y mirarlo, no quedan palabras para decir

Pero una vez que vio que mi miedo se había ido, salió corriendo hacia el otro lado

Estaba confundido mientras lo perseguía, no era lo que parece

¿Cómo puedo luchar contra algo que se esconde en los reflejos de los espejos y en los sueños?

Sin embargo, tengo que arriesgarme y esperar poder estirarlo.

En ese momento dejo de correr como si quisiera que lo alcanzara

Toda la angustia psicológica que pasé se definió

Agarré su cabeza, le arrebaté la máscara y la cara en ella era mía.

Casi me quedo ciego, pero todo salió bien paso a paso

Estaba siendo perseguido por mi propio pecado, huyendo del lado oscuro de mí mismo.

Mientras lo estrangulaba con fuerza, comencé a comprender

Justo en ese momento, el hombre de la máscara desapareció dentro de mi mano.

Todo fue una señal para mí para cambiar y ver el mundo más claro

Cerré los ojos y cuando los abrí estaba de nuevo frente al espejo

Pero a pesar de que el hombre se había ido, todavía no puedo decir que es el final.

Porque sé que si me equivoco, volveré a ver esa máscara
