A really funny story of a modern man

Who spends all his time doing the best he can

Even quits his job as singer in his rock and roll band

So he goes out and finds himself a modern girl

Gets himself in trouble with his modern girl

And they bring a new life into the modern world

And after one year, it’s all over

And wow

What can this philosophy bring?

So we all want our freedom and we want our choice

Better take responsibility for freedom’s voice

And then you pays your money and you takes your chance

To live with a distinctive lack of permanence

So the young and the lonely need a helping hand

It may be hard to find in these shifting sands

And who knows what it is that future history brings

And who knows on what behaviour it all may hinge

What can this philosophy bring?

'Cause it’s the 21st century way that carries on, yes it is

And it’s all that matters when all the other centuries are gone

So we all want our remedies, we want our cures

If we don’t learn from history we’re damned for sure

You see monogamy makes economic sense

But the nature of man is so against that expense
