It’s a very strange ambition--

To be less than half alive

You don’t know where you’re goin'

But you sure do like to drive, yeah

And all along the highway

I spied creatures on their own

The rabbits and the reptiles

Sitting on a throne of a desert--empty and dry

All along the West side I see

Nothing but sky

No Barrier between

The Greatest Mind and Mine

The Universe is Open All the Time

In this constant repetition

I am looking for a feel

Something more than motion

Something positively real

And I’m staring in the rear view

Wishing I could see

Something more than just the lines

Something deep inside of me

Tumbleweeds and drifters

Never made a plan

Never stopped to wonder

They just roll across the land…

El universo está abierto todo el tiempo

estoy buscando un sentimiento

Algo más que movimiento

Algo positivamente real

Y estoy mirando en la vista trasera

Deseando poder ver

Algo más que las líneas

Algo muy dentro de mí

Tumbleweeds y vagabundos

Nunca hice un plan

Nunca se detuvo a preguntarse

Simplemente ruedan por la tierra...
