Note to Self - Homebound

I woke up with the morning blues

And told myself everything I wanted to do

Was out of reach and not worth my time

My self esteem had hit the floor

The best of me walked out without a word or more

I’m all at sea and not worth your time

Wipe the sleep from out my eyes

It’s time for me to realise

If you’ve little faith in who you are and what you believe in

Life won’t make it easy, you’ll be stuck with this feeling

Self loathing, anxiety

A weight I bare inside of me

The man this world has made of me

The pouring rain hangs off my chin

The wind blew down this house of cards I’m living in

I’m all at sea and don’t have much time

Just when you think you’ve found the piece that can pull this all together

Watch my happiness grow into something cold and bitter

Brought on by my own obsessive, compulsive need to better myself

No regard for my own health

Can’t find a reason why

I can never be, I can never be alright

For more than one day

But something tells me

It’s down to me myself and I

I’m my own worst enemy

Me desperté con el blues de la mañana

Y me dije todo lo que quería hacer

Estaba fuera de alcance y no valía la pena mi tiempo

Mi autoestima había tocado el piso

Lo mejor de mí se fue sin una palabra o más

Estoy todo en el mar y no valgo la pena tu tiempo

Limpia el sueño de mis ojos

Es hora de que me dé cuenta

Si tienes poca fe en quién eres y en lo que crees

La vida no lo hará fácil, te quedarás atrapado con este sentimiento

Autodesprecio, ansiedad

Un peso que llevo dentro de mí

El hombre que este mundo ha hecho de mí

La lluvia torrencial cuelga de mi barbilla

El viento derribó este castillo de naipes en el que vivo

Estoy todo en el mar y no tengo mucho tiempo

Justo cuando crees que has encontrado la pieza que puede unir todo esto

Mira mi felicidad convertirse en algo frío y amargo

Provocado por mi propia necesidad obsesiva y compulsiva de mejorarme a mí mismo

Sin consideración por mi propia salud

No puedo encontrar una razón por la cual

Nunca puedo estar, nunca puedo estar bien

Por más de un día

pero algo me dice

Depende de mí mismo y yo

Yo soy mi peor enemigo
