I see her smile through the curtains, waiting

I’m sitting here in my car

It’s been so long since I’ve felt this strongly about anything…

About anyone…

I see her locking the door

So daintily, she turns and waves from afar

She makes her way down the driveway

Smiling, I lean over, open her door

I sit and wait 'til her seatbelt’s on

I hit the gas and we’re gone

I tell her, «I've no idea where we’re going.»

She laughs.

That’s all…

I’ll go anywhere.

I’ll do anything

Know it could be the smallest thing

She knows park and it’s not too far…

Parking is free in the lot

She says she’d play here when she was younger

I’m glad she shares all her thoughts

'Cuz I’m not as social as most, but she helps me

Asking me all 'bout my past

I tell her, «I've never spoken so freely.»

«You made me better at that.»

We watch the sun as it sets, it’s freezing

I offer my coat, she doesn’t want it, though

Hop in the car and she cranks my heater…

She laughs.

That’s all

It’s getting late as I walk her to her door

She bites her lip, touches my face, smiles as she closes the door

We’ve never kissed, believe me, there’s no rush…

I’d have waited forever for that one touch

And I’d go anywhere and I’d do anything with you

Veo su sonrisa a través de las cortinas, esperando

Estoy sentado aquí en mi auto

Ha pasado tanto tiempo desde que me sentí tan fuertemente por algo...

Sobre cualquiera...

La veo cerrando la puerta

Tan delicadamente, ella gira y saluda desde lejos

Ella hace su camino por el camino de entrada

Sonriendo, me inclino, abro su puerta.

Me siento y espero hasta que se ponga el cinturón de seguridad

Presiono el acelerador y nos vamos

Le digo: «No tengo ni idea de adónde vamos».

Ella ríe.

Eso es todo…

Iré a cualquier parte.

Haré lo que sea

Sé que podría ser la cosa más pequeña

Ella conoce el parque y no está demasiado lejos...

El estacionamiento es gratuito en el lote.

Ella dice que jugaría aquí cuando era más joven.

Me alegro de que ella comparta todos sus pensamientos.

Porque no soy tan sociable como la mayoría, pero ella me ayuda

preguntándome todo sobre mi pasado

Le digo: «Nunca he hablado con tanta libertad».

Me hiciste mejor en eso.

Vemos el sol mientras se pone, está helado

Le ofrezco mi abrigo, ella no lo quiere, aunque

Súbete al auto y ella enciende mi calentador...

Ella ríe.

Eso es todo

Se está haciendo tarde cuando la acompaño a su puerta

Se muerde el labio, toca mi cara, sonríe mientras cierra la puerta.

Nunca nos hemos besado, créeme, no hay prisa…

Hubiera esperado para siempre por ese toque

E iría a cualquier parte y haría cualquier cosa contigo
