Shining a While - Fractal Cypher

As a child, he used to let the light shine for a while

Before the sandman came to sprinkle his eyes

By the window, he felt the wind carry his fears away

Far beyond from what he had ever prayed

The sorrow’s gone, his demons could wait

Cause the heaven he found, belonged to his own faith

No matter how far from the dreams that he had

He knew that everyday could be one to be glad

And by the moonlight, he thought about his life

What it would be ten years from where he was

Carry on wise man, don’t worry you will find

And he believed himself after all

We’re not alone for the the ride

As a man, he shuts the light down as fast as he can

Even the starlight cannot sooth his great pain

By the window, nothing but the phantoms of his past

Haunting the design that he’s trying to reach

Why is it gone?

Innocence and faith

In a life that goes on, every day without any aim

Will we ever have the strength, to find back what it takes?

To let the sandman come again

And feel the wind embracing our skins

Every day taking time to relieve from our sins

Listening carefully to the signs that

Show us where to go

Unconsciously, time feeds from our dreams

Until all that remains in an empty gleam

And consciously, we let our childhood disappear

The child inside us grows

We stand in line and and are the next one to follow

Can your just remember, the last time you laughed

Until you lose your breath, instead of faking smile

Can’t you just try to sleep, without falling so deep?
