I wish things were better

here right now.

It’s snowing in April

and you’re on the east coast.

and I’m still alone,

and forgetting the sounds

of your voices and the way things used to be.

We’re separated by terminals

and 800 mile long phone calls.

All I’m getting is static,

are you still there?

Will you visit soon?

I’ve got so much to tell you

about the people you’ll never meet

and how much they mean to me,

and how they got me through this year.

I’m so glad that their here

with me by Lake Michigan.

aquí ahora mismo.

Está nevando en abril

y estás en la costa este.

y sigo solo,

y olvidando los sonidos

de sus voces y la forma en que solían ser las cosas.

Estamos separados por terminales

y llamadas telefónicas de 800 millas de largo.
