Helicopter - Covenant

twenty years ago I rode

by helicopter to the sky

I laughed at gravitation

for a moment I was free

they say I never landed

you know they may be right

it looks better from above

with some distance in between

to leave is never easy

perhaps it shouldn’t be but return is even harder

yes to return is harder still

I often dream of flying

far above the city streets

I beat my wings and leave

for Cairo or New York

I can go to many places

but there’s no one there to meet

and the sky is a lonely place

just me and the silent clouds

Hace veinte años cabalgué

en helicóptero al cielo

Me reí de la gravitación

por un momento fui libre

dicen que nunca aterricé

sabes que pueden tener razón

se ve mejor desde arriba

con cierta distancia entre

irse nunca es fácil

tal vez no debería ser pero el regreso es aún más difícil

si volver es mas dificil todavia

A menudo sueño con volar

muy por encima de las calles de la ciudad

batí mis alas y me fui

para El Cairo o Nueva York

Puedo ir a muchos lugares

pero no hay nadie allí para reunirse

y el cielo es un lugar solitario

solo yo y las nubes silenciosas
