I start thinking that I’ve got it made and I go out on the town

Got my check at the end of the night, a big smile came over my face

My credit was good so I borrowed some bucks, stood everyone a couple of rounds

Empiezo a pensar que lo tengo hecho y salgo a la ciudad

Recibí mi cheque al final de la noche, una gran sonrisa apareció en mi rostro

Mi crédito era bueno, así que pedí prestados algunos dólares, les dejé a todos un par de rondas

Pero ese cheque era falso y rebotó inmediatamente marcado como "Fondos insuficientes".

Pensé que conseguiría mis cincuenta dólares: dos de cinco, tres de diez y uno de veinte.

Porque el cartel en la puerta decía "El banco está cerrado por falta de fondos"

Ahora, algunas personas culpan de todo este problema a alguna deidad.

Pero todavía hay gente con mucho pan y luego gente como tú y yo

Pero conducen bistecs grandes y comen autos grandes, ganando dinero por toneladas.

Entonces, ¿cómo es que cuando me rompo el trasero, obtengo «Fondos insuficientes»?
