You know there are times in life when/

You come across people that you think are your friends/

But really, they’re your friend because it’s convenient/

And you have something that they want/

It’s sad man… but the best thing I’ve learned you can do/

In that situation, is try to forgive them/

Pack your bags and just move on/

Yeah, our hearts were nearly broken, by the people that we trusted most when

They took us in, became our friends, then forgot us in the middle of the ocean

All alone and stranded, on a boat abandoned, and I’m still

Tryin' to, figure out what the heck just happened, I don’t really have an

answer granted

We were open handed, full of hopeful standards, but that was a weakness

Let our guards down for a season, but I’ll never do it again cause that damage

Was too great, it’s too late, this new day, is two-faced/

It made us panic, throw away everything that we built up and vanish

We had to get away get safe, get our own place with a bit of breathing space

And even though we escaped, there’s still a bunch of wounds underneath this

bandage

We left feelin' disenchanted but then this plane landed with God commandin'

So we say goodbye layin' eyes on this new chapter with a brand new canvas

Things were rocky, I was afraid to crash and die

I’ve been up and down, and swayed from side to side

Send out a mayday, cuz we’re fallin' out the sky

If there’s any chance can you save me from the fire?

Here comes the turbulence

The sky was gray and formin', a little bit of what I call stormin'

Early mornin' pourin' down, so morbid now this rain is horrid

Plus I’m foreign, to the way things, should be handled when things change

But they did now I’m livin' with it just prayin' we maintain orbit cuz I’m

10,000 feet up, way up high, feelin' pretty beat up, enough

Time to clean up these deep cuts fighting the lie that you don’t really needs us

Because we lust and bleed just like everyone alive are you also gonna leave us?

Flee us, out of disgust like refugees but I really wanted you to lead us

Turbulence can be violent, when you travel through an unknown climate

I should trust you, but I’m unglued not really knowin' what you’re up to flyin'

Over highlands, over islands, what’s the mileage?

I can’t even see the ground

So I close my eye-lids, growin' silent, hopin' I live, oh my God I need you now

Te encuentras con personas que crees que son tus amigos/

Pero en realidad, son tus amigos porque es conveniente/

Es triste hombre... pero lo mejor que he aprendido que puedes hacer/

En esa situación, es tratar de perdonarlos/

Empaca tus maletas y sigue adelante/

Sí, nuestros corazones casi se rompen por las personas en las que más confiamos cuando

Nos acogieron, se hicieron nuestros amigos, luego nos olvidaron en medio del océano

Solo y varado, en un barco abandonado, y todavía estoy

Tratando de averiguar qué diablos acaba de pasar, realmente no tengo un

respuesta concedida

Estábamos abiertos, llenos de estándares esperanzadores, pero eso era una debilidad.

Bajemos la guardia por una temporada, pero nunca lo volveré a hacer para causar ese daño.

Era demasiado grande, es demasiado tarde, este nuevo día, tiene dos caras/

Nos hizo entrar en pánico, tirar todo lo que construimos y desaparecer

Tuvimos que alejarnos, ponernos a salvo, conseguir nuestro propio lugar con un poco de espacio para respirar

Y a pesar de que escapamos, todavía hay un montón de heridas debajo de esto.

Nos fuimos sintiéndonos desencantados, pero luego este avión aterrizó con Dios al mando

Así que nos despedimos con los ojos puestos en este nuevo capítulo con un nuevo lienzo

Las cosas estaban difíciles, tenía miedo de estrellarme y morir

He estado arriba y abajo, y me balanceé de un lado a otro

Envía un mayday, porque nos estamos cayendo del cielo

Aquí viene la turbulencia

El cielo estaba gris y formándose, un poco de lo que yo llamo tormenta

Temprano en la mañana lloviendo, tan morboso ahora esta lluvia es horrible

Además, soy ajeno a la forma en que deben manejarse las cosas cuando las cosas cambian

Pero lo hicieron, ahora estoy viviendo con eso, solo rezo para que mantengamos la órbita porque estoy

10,000 pies de altura, muy alto, sintiéndome bastante golpeado, suficiente

Es hora de limpiar estos cortes profundos luchando contra la mentira de que realmente no nos necesitas

Porque deseamos y sangramos como todos los vivos, ¿también nos vas a dejar?

Huye de nosotros, por disgusto como refugiados, pero realmente quería que nos guiaras

Las turbulencias pueden ser violentas cuando se viaja a través de un clima desconocido

Debería confiar en ti, pero estoy despegado y no sé realmente lo que estás haciendo.

Sobre tierras altas, sobre islas, ¿cuál es el kilometraje?

Ni siquiera puedo ver el suelo

Así que cierro mis párpados, en silencio, con la esperanza de vivir, oh Dios mío, te necesito ahora
