It’s a lazy afternoon

All the beetle bugs are zooming

And the tulip treas are blooming

and there’s not another human in view

but us two

It’s a lazy afternoon

and the farmer does his reaping

in the meadow cows are creeping

and the speckled trout are leaping up street

as they do.

A fat pink cloud

hangs over the hill un folding like a rose

you can take my hand and sit real still

you can hear the grass as it grows.

Todos los insectos escarabajos están haciendo zoom

Y los tulipanes están floreciendo

y no hay otro humano a la vista

pero nosotros dos

es una tarde perezosa

y el labrador hace su siega

en el prado las vacas se arrastran

y las truchas moteadas saltan calle arriba

como ellos.

Una nube rosa gorda

cuelga sobre la colina desplegándose como una rosa

puedes tomar mi mano y sentarte muy quieto

puedes escuchar la hierba a medida que crece.
