Horace the horse on the merry-go-round

Went up and down, round and round

He’s been sad since the day he found

He’s the very last horse on the merry-go-round

The music began and away they go

High and low, to and fro

Poor old Horace would always say

«I'm the very last horse again today»

How he tried and tried and tried

But he just never could win

Horace cried and cried and cried,

'Cause all the other horses were ahead of him

Then came the day on the merry-go-round

Horace turned, looked around, then said, «Gosh, oh gee!

I’m the very first horse on the merry-go-round

The others are following me!»

Horace el caballo en el tiovivo

Subió y bajó, dio vueltas y vueltas

Ha estado triste desde el día que encontró

Es el último caballo en el tiovivo.

La música comenzó y se fueron

Alto y bajo, de aquí para allá

El pobre viejo Horace siempre decía

«Soy el último caballo otra vez hoy»

Cómo lo intentó y lo intentó y lo intentó

Pero él nunca pudo ganar

Horacio lloró y lloró y lloró,

Porque todos los otros caballos estaban delante de él.

Luego llegó el día en el tiovivo

Horace se dio la vuelta, miró a su alrededor y luego dijo: «¡Caramba, caramba!

Soy el primer caballo en el tiovivo

¡Los demás me siguen!»
