Over all my burdens and through all my fears Jesus carries me

Through all my trials and through all my tears Jesus carries me

One night a man had a dream

And he dreamed he was walking with the Lord

A crossed the sky flashed scenes from his life

For each scene he noted two sets of footprints in the sand

One belonged to him the other to the Lord

When the last scene of his life flashed before him

He looked back at the footprints in the sand

And noticed that many times along the path of his life

There was only one set of footprints

He also noticed that this seemed to happen

At the very lowest and sadist times in his life

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it

Lord you said that once I decided to follow you

You would walk with me all the way but I have noticed

That in the most troublesome times in my life

There are only one set of foot prints

I don’t understand why when I needed you the most

You would leave me

The Lord replied «Oh my precious precious child I love you

And I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering

When you see only one set of foot prints

I did not leave you

It was then that I carried you

Over all my burdens and through all my fears Jesus carries me

Through all my trials and through all my fears Jesus carries me

Oh he carries me across the burning sand over water deep and wide

He gently takes me by the hand and carries me to the other side

Oh my Jesus carries me

Sobre todas mis cargas y a través de todos mis miedos Jesús me lleva

A través de todas mis pruebas y a través de todas mis lágrimas, Jesús me lleva

Una noche un hombre tuvo un sueño

Y soñó que andaba con el Señor

A cruzó el cielo brilló escenas de su vida

Para cada escena, anotó dos juegos de huellas en la arena.

Uno era suyo, el otro del Señor.

Cuando la última escena de su vida pasó ante él

Volvió a mirar las huellas en la arena.

Y notó que muchas veces en el camino de su vida

Solo había un conjunto de huellas

También notó que esto parecía suceder

En los momentos más bajos y sádicos de su vida.

Esto realmente le molestó y le preguntó al Señor al respecto.

Señor dijiste que una vez decidí seguirte

Caminarías conmigo todo el camino pero me he dado cuenta

Que en los momentos mas problemáticos de mi vida

Solo hay un conjunto de huellas

No entiendo por qué cuando más te necesitaba

me dejarías

El Señor respondió «Oh mi precioso niño precioso te amo

Y nunca te dejaría durante tus tiempos de prueba y sufrimiento.

Cuando solo ves un conjunto de huellas

yo no te deje

Fue entonces cuando yo te llevé

Sobre todas mis cargas y a través de todos mis miedos Jesús me lleva

A través de todas mis pruebas y a través de todos mis miedos, Jesús me lleva

Oh, él me lleva a través de la arena ardiente sobre el agua profunda y ancha

Suavemente me toma de la mano y me lleva al otro lado
