Metamorphosis -

I am one… and then I am two

And then we are three

Flesh and bone to sand and stone

Stone to sand… to Earth and air

And then to water

Shape and color of the sky

Free to fly, and wish… and dream

To transform.

to become

I unravel, I dissolve… I remember

My face outlined in the stars

Becoming the night, becoming the stillness

A chill in the air, a breath in the light

I transform… I become… Something else

Someone new

Today into tomorrow

Tomorrow into never

Never into when… and then

Then into now, and over again

Fibers in glass, weaving

Knowing all that is to come

And still remembering nothing

Tears to brine, to salt and wine

Hold me close, but lightly

Something more… Something less

Breathing groans collected in the fog

Sounds to song, and words to air

A wIndless night, with steadily streaming lights

We sing to the stars

Trees sinking, bleeding bark to the grass

Ever changing, evolving, becoming crystal chandeliers

Deep in the hallow, a single child’s voice

Calling, crying… Singing

Disappearing in the arms of tomorrow’s light

And yesterday’s garden

Lustrous gleaming shapes

Paint themselves in the night time breeze

Three shapes inside me… Moving… Dreaming

And then we are two… And then I am one

I transform

I become… Again

Soy uno... y luego soy dos

Y luego somos tres

Carne y hueso a arena y piedra

Piedra a arena... a tierra y aire

Y luego al agua

Forma y color del cielo

Libre para volar, y desear… y soñar

Para transformar.

Convirtiéndose en la noche, convirtiéndose en la quietud

Un escalofrío en el aire, un soplo en la luz

Me transformo… me convierto… en otra cosa

Alguien nuevo

Hoy en mañana

Mañana en nunca

Nunca en cuando... y luego

Luego en ahora, y otra vez

Fibras de vidrio, tejido

Sabiendo todo lo que está por venir

Y aún sin recordar nada

Lágrimas a la salmuera, a la sal y al vino

Abrázame cerca, pero ligeramente

Algo más... Algo menos

Respirando gemidos recogidos en la niebla

Sonidos a la canción y palabras al aire

Una noche sin viento, con luces que fluyen constantemente

Cantamos a las estrellas

Árboles hundiéndose, sangrando la corteza a la hierba

Siempre cambiando, evolucionando, convirtiéndose en candelabros de cristal.

En lo profundo de la santidad, la voz de un solo niño

Llamando, llorando... Cantando

Desapareciendo en los brazos de la luz del mañana

Y el jardín de ayer

Formas resplandecientes y brillantes

Pintarse en la brisa nocturna

Tres formas dentro de mí… Moviéndose… Soñando

Y luego somos dos... Y luego yo soy uno
