Because I’m going to say the exact opposite of what the world

Today’s world is saying

So, we read a bunch of books nowadays

As humans we —

We want to find out how to be

Someone else

What we don’t do is we don’t go inside;

So literally turn yourself inside out

Like we’re writing a book every day of our life’s

But we never read that book

You have to look inside of yourself to see what you really want?

What are you passionate about?

We use these words and little phrases of «only the strong survive»

And all this other crap

They are all just fucking words.

I get so tired of hearing people just talking

Like right now, someone may think;

«Goggins just talking.»

So, when I speak, I speak from passion, I speak from experience

I speak from suffering

I speak from suffering

The only way you’re ever going to get to the other side of this journey

Is you have got to suffer

To grow

To grow you must suffer

I speak from suffering

Some people will get it and some people won’t

Some people will get it and some people won’t

But they have to see what their journey is to start their journey

Some people will get it and some people won’t

Several people live to be a hundred years old

And they have great lives

And they have great kids and those kids go to college

And all that sort of stuff

But somewhere in their lives there was a point where they had a decision to

make;

They can go left or right on this path

Left was the easy route

Right was the hard route

A lot of people take the easy route

And they had a good life that way

But the better life was going to the right side

And you may have 20 years of pain and suffering to get past it

But a lot of us die never truly starting our journey

And you got to start your journey

It may suck, but it will

Come out the other side, we’re coasting

The only way you’re ever going to get to the other side of this journey

Is you have got to suffer

To grow

Everyday we’re seeing who we are as people

When I was growing up

I lied for people to accept me because I didn’t accept myself

So I would make up stories, so you would accept me into your world

Everything I did was for someone else to like me

It wasn’t until I started reading my own book about how pathetic I was as a

human being

I could blame my dad, I could blame kids at school, I could blame having health

issues ADD, with my mom not being around

Great mom but she was doing here thing

I could blame a lot of people

And that’s the book I was reading and I put it off on everybody else

It wasn’t until I said;

«You know what for me to fix this I got to read what the fuck is wrong with

David Goggins.»

And not blame anybody

Read my book, it’s okay I’m afraid of my shadow

How can I overcome that?

Go in the military, get your ass kicked, do things that you hate to do Be

uncomfortable every fucking day of your life

Roger that

I’m not the smartest kid in the world

Okay, instead of somebody saying;

«Oh no, you’re smart.

Oh no no,

don’t say that to yourself.»

I said to myself;

«I'm a dumb motherfucker»

Okay, Roger that

How you get smarter?

Educate yourself

So, the things that we run from we’re running from the truth

We’re running from the truth, man

So, the only way I became successful was going towards the truth

As painful, as brutal, as it is

It changed me

It allowed me to become

In my own right

Who I am today

Porque voy a decir exactamente lo contrario de lo que el mundo

El mundo de hoy está diciendo

Me canso tanto de escuchar a la gente hablando

Como ahora mismo, alguien puede pensar;

«Goggins solo hablando».

Entonces, cuando hablo, hablo desde la pasión, hablo desde la experiencia.

es que tienes que sufrir

Algunas personas lo entenderán y otras no.

Pero tienen que ver cuál es su viaje para comenzar su viaje

Algunas personas lo entenderán y otras no.

Varias personas viven hasta los cien años

Y tienen una gran vida.

Y tienen niños geniales y esos niños van a la universidad

Y todo ese tipo de cosas

Pero en algún lugar de sus vidas hubo un punto en el que tomaron la decisión de

hacer;

Pueden ir a la izquierda o a la derecha en este camino

Pueden ir a la izquierda o a la derecha en este camino

Pueden ir a la izquierda o a la derecha en este camino

Pueden ir a la izquierda o a la derecha en este camino

Izquierda fue la ruta fácil

La derecha era la ruta difícil

Mucha gente toma el camino fácil

Y tenían una buena vida de esa manera

Pero la mejor vida era ir al lado derecho

Y es posible que tenga 20 años de dolor y sufrimiento para superarlo.

Pero muchos de nosotros morimos sin realmente comenzar nuestro viaje

Y tienes que empezar tu viaje

Puede que apeste, pero lo hará

Sal por el otro lado, estamos navegando

Cuando estaba creciendo

Mentí para que la gente me aceptara porque yo no me aceptaba

Así que inventaría historias, para que me aceptaras en tu mundo

Todo lo que hice fue para gustarle a alguien más

No fue hasta que comencé a leer mi propio libro sobre lo patético que era como

ser humano

Podría culpar a mi papá, podría culpar a los niños en la escuela, podría culpar a tener salud

problemas ADD, con mi mamá no estando cerca

Gran mamá, pero ella estaba haciendo algo aquí.

Podría culpar a mucha gente

Y ese es el libro que estaba leyendo y lo pospuse en todos los demás

No fue hasta que dije;

«Sabes qué para mí arreglar esto tengo que leer qué diablos está mal con

David Goggins.»

y no culpar a nadie

Lee mi libro, está bien, tengo miedo de mi sombra

¿Cómo puedo superar eso?

Entra en el ejército, haz que te pateen el trasero, haz cosas que odias hacer

incómodo cada puto día de tu vida

No soy el niño más inteligente del mundo.

Bien, en lugar de que alguien diga;

Me dije a mi mismo;

«Soy un hijo de puta tonto»

Edúcate tu mismo

Entonces, las cosas de las que huimos estamos huyendo de la verdad

Entonces, la única forma en que tuve éxito fue yendo hacia la verdad.
